CWC, FCI signed MoU for development and operation of storage warehousing infrastructure
New Delhi: An MoU has been signed between FCI and CWC under the aegis of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public distribution on May 27, 2021.
The MoU signed for the development and operation of storage warehousing infrastructure at Zunheboto in Nagaland & Namsai in Arunachal Pradesh in North East Region and Drass & Zanskar in Ladakh.
It is a part of Govt. of India initiative to promote PDS in NER and Ladakh regions. Though these projects are commercially not viable, CWC has decided to bear the complete cost.
