Commodore VZ Job took over as Commanding Officer of INS Venduruthy and Station Commander, Kochi Area on 30 Jun 2023.
He is the 46th Commanding Officer of an 80-year-old establishment that supports Naval units in and around Kochi.
A ‘Gunnery and Missile Warfare’ specialist’, he was commissioned in Indian Navy on 01 Jul 1995. The officer is an alumnus of NDA, DSSC, Wellington and NWC, Goa.

He has commanded four ships that include INS Kulish and INSTir. The officer has held important appointments as Senior Officer 1TS, Director at DNT, DFC at IHQMoD and Joint Director, INTEG.
Prior to taking over as Commanding Officer Venduruthy, he was Commanding Officer of the Indian Navy's Missile and Gunnery school, INS Dronacharya at Fort Kochi. He succeeds Commodore Deepak Kumar, who retired from the Navy on completion of more than 34 years of active service.
