Coal Ministry crossed its target, procured Rs 4278 Cr Goods & Services through GeM

The target has been achieved through the GeM India portal to ensure the public procurement process is more transparent, efficient and inclusive.

Coal Ministry crossed its target, procured Rs 4278 Cr Goods & Services through GeM

New Delhi: Ministry of Coal set its target of Rs. 4000 Crores for the procurement of Goods & Services through the Government e-Marketplace. It is mentioned that the ministry (including its CPSEs ) has achieved 107% (Rs. 4278 Crores) against the target of Rs. 4000 Crores for procurement of Goods & Services.

In a series of tweets, the ministry states that in the ranking system of GeM India, 4 Coal PSUs namely NLC India Limited, Mahanadi Coalfields Limited, SECL, & NCL have been included in the list of Top 20 buyers. 

Under Timely Payments Category, NLCIL and MCL have secured 1st Rank and 2nd Rank.
