Coal Minister inaugurates 3 CSR projects of Coal India
The first CSR project inaugurated by the Hon’ble Minister aims to promote digital education across 70 Government schools in Dharwad district of Karnataka.

New Delhi: Shri Pralhad Joshi, Hon’ble Union Minister of Coal, Mines & Parliamentary Affairs, virtually inaugurated 3 CSR projects of Coal India in New Delhi, and complimented the company for the successful completion of 500 Bone Marrow Transplants (BMTs) under its flagship CSR project, the ‘Thalassemia Bal Sewa Yojana’.
Shri Amrit Lal Meena, Secretary, Govt. of India, Ministry of Coal, along with senior officials of the Ministry of Coal, and Shri P. M. Prasad, Chairman, Coal India, along with Functional Directors, CVO, of CIL, and CMDs of CIL subsidiaries, attended the programme either in person or through virtual mode.

The first CSR project inaugurated by the Hon’ble Minister aims to promote digital education across 70 Government schools in Dharwad district of Karnataka. The second initiative focuses on extending financial support of Rs. 1 lakh to individuals successfully clearing the preliminary rounds of Civil Service/Forest Service Examinations conducted by UPSC, from 2024 to 2026.

Congenital heart disease is one or more structural issues in the heart present since birth.
This pilot project is set to be expanded throughout Jharkhand based on its impact.
