Coal Minister emphasizes on Green Mining Technologies
Kolkata. Shri. Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister of Coal, Mines & Parliamentary Affairs, inaugurated the 8th Asian Mining Congress in Kolkata by lighting the traditional lamp.
Shri. Anil Kumar Jha, Chairman, CIL delivered the welcome address at the 8th Asian Mining Congress in Kolkata. He said that the theme of the conference was very apt for today, ‘Green Mining: The Way Forward’. CIL he added, always strives to keep its mining operations sustainable and this forms an important part of its mission and policy.
Shri. Pralhad Joshi, Minister of Coal, Mines & Parliamentary Affairs, addressed the 8th Asian Mining Congress in Kolkata. He said that India is steadily transforming itself into a unique growth story, which is resulting in an increase in the demand for energy. Green mining technologies are the only way forward for extraction of natural resources in the wake of global environmental concerns, he added.
