New Delhi: India;'s largest coal-producing company, Coal India Limited helps in building railway lines for faster coal transportation from Chhatisgarh part III, EAST-WEST RAIL CORRIDOR.

It is a 135 km long project from Gevra Road to Pendra Road is being constructed by Chhattisgarh East West Rail Limited (CEWRL). The Coal transportation capacity is about 63 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) from CIL subsidiary SECL.

CEWRL is a joint venture company of Coal India subsidiary SECL, IRCON and the Government of Chhattisgarh. The project is expected to be commissioned by December 2024
