78000 fruit and medicinal plants will be planted and distributed at 97 places in WCL.

Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy launched visionary tree plantation campaign 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam'

New Delhi: Hon'ble Union Minister of Coal and Mines Shri G. Kishan Reddy today on 25th July 2024 launched the Tree Plantation Campaign- 2024 under the visionary campaign 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' at BCCL , Dhanbad. Secretary, Ministry of Coal , Government of India, Shri Amrit Lal Meena and Chairman, Coal India Limited, Shri P.M. Prasad were prominently present on the occasion.

In the field of Green Revolution organized under the aegis of the Ministry of Coal Western Coalfields Limited also became a part of this exemplary initiative. WCL Director Technical (Operations / Director (Planning-Project) Shri A.K. Singh and Director (Finance) Shri Bikram Ghosh, members of the Steering Committee and Welfare Board and department heads planted trees at Indora Complex, Nagpur, which was followed in all the areas of the company.

Under this initiative, a program for planting and distribution of 78000 fruit and medicinal plants is being conducted from today at a total of 97 places under the leadership of Regional General Managers in all the areas of WCL.
