Gurugram: H.E. Ms. Stella Budiriganya, Ambassador of the Republic of Burundi to India along with Burundian Delegation led by Dr. Martin NDAYIZEYE, Director General of Energy met Mr. R. K. Agrawal, CMD, WAPCOS & NPCC on April 24, 2022 at WAPCOS Gurugram office for discussions regarding WAPCOS operations in Burundi.

Kabu 16 Hydroelectric Power Station is a 20 megawatts (27,000 hp) hydroelectric power station under construction in Burundi. It is under development by the government of Burundi, with funding from the Exim Bank of India. Construction began in March 2019.
The power station is located across Kaburantwa River, a tributary of the Rusizi River. The power station is approximately 16 kilometres (10 mi) upstream of where the two rivers merge.
