CMD SCI Awarded with Outstanding Achievement Award
Mumbai/Dubai: Capt. Anoop Kumar Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director of The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd (SCI), has been awarded with The Maritime Standard ‘Outstanding Achievement Award’ 2018 for his outstanding contribution to Indian shipping and the maritime fraternity at large. He was conferred with the prestigious award at the ‘The Maritime Standard Awards 2018’ held on 15th October 2018 at Atlantis Ballroom, The Palm, Dubai.
Hosted by top BBC journalist, Tim Willcox, the fifth edition of The Maritime Standard Awards was attended by a high-level audience comprising more than 700 executives in shipping, ports, shipbuilding and repair and related sectors, from almost 70 different countries. The prestigious event celebrates and rewards the achievements of leading companies and individuals active in the maritime fields in the Middle East and the Indian Subcontinent. The Awards event was held under the patronage of His Highness, Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline and Group.
On receipt of the award, Capt. Anoop Sharma, C&MD, SCI dedicated the award to the employees of SCI and thanked his family.
