UP Day 2026: CM Yogi Reviews Preparations, Amit Shah to Attend Main Event in Lucknow
NEW DELHI: Chief Minister MYogiAdityanath ji conducted a high-level review on the preparations of 'Uttar Pradesh Day' to be held from 24th to 26th January on Wednesday morning. During this time, the Chief Minister directed the officials that this event is an empowering opportunity to showcase not only formal program, but also the identity, achievements and possibilities of the state with public support. He said that Uttar Pradesh Day should be held as a celebration reflecting the soul of the state at every level.
The Chief Minister said that the country's honorable Home and Cooperative Minister Shri Amit Shah ji's dignified presence as the chief guest of this year's Uttar Pradesh Day will provide distinct identity to the event at national level.
The main ceremony will be held at the National Inspiration site located in the capital Lucknow, which will be broadcast live in all the district of the state, so that Uttar Pradesh Day can be celebrated all over the state together. The collective achievements of the state will be honoured by inviting dignified citizens of all district who contributed outstanding in various fields to the main ceremony held on 24 January. During this time, special exhibition and craft fair will be organized on the theme of 'Developed India-Developed Uttar Pradesh' and the main attraction of the 'One District-One Cuisine' event.
Chief Minister directed that the proposed cultural programs under the Culture Festival 2025-26 should be effectively linked to Uttar Pradesh Day. Folk, classical and contemporary art forms should be provided with the sense of ‘Our Culture-Our Identity’ and ensure appropriate facilities for artists and visitors. He said Uttar Pradesh Day-2026 should be an event that was inspiring, memorable and proud for every visitor by presenting together the culture, taste, crafts and development vision of the state
