Echoing similar view, Guest of Honour, Shri K Ravidas, Environmental Engineer, TSPCB, Ramagundam Regional Office said that the purpose of the distribution is to create awareness amidst people especially children on the use of clay Ganesh idols with natural colours so as to save the water bodies from pollution due to use of Plaster of Paris idols with artificial colours.
The main attraction of the programme was demonstration of Clay Ganesh making arranged by Bal Bhavan of Deepthi Mahila Samithi. Children present on the occasion were excited and interested in making Clay Ganesh and later they distributed the eco-friendly Ganesh free of cost with a message of saving the environment for future generation.
