Civil Construction PSU stock, NBCC shares gains with securing orders worth Rs 489.6 crore
State-owned NBCC (India) Ltd. on Monday, December 16 said it has won two orders, cumulatively worth Rs 489.6 crore. The first order, worth Rs 459.6 crore is from the department of tribal and scheduled caste, Chhattisgarh.
The contract is for the construction of Eklavya Model residential schools in Chhattisgarh at different locations, including Bastar, Sukma, Dantewada, Narayanpur, Rajnandgaon, and Jashpur.
The second order, worth Rs 30 crore, is from Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya National Institute for Persons With Physical Disabilities, New Delhi. The contract is for the construction of a permanent building of the composite regional center at Jamdoli in Jaipur. NBCC shares were trading 2.13% higher at Rs 101.4 apiece at 2.35 pm on Monday, December 16.
The stock has gained 85.63% this year, so far. Recently, NBCC bagged multiple construction projects worth Rs 9,445 crore across four Indian states of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana and Karnataka.
