CIL’s 48th Foundation Day Celebration

New Delhi: The 48th CIL Foundation Day celebrations commenced with Shri Pramod Agrawal, Chairman, CIL and Functional Directors of CIL paying floral tributes at the Martyrs’ Memorial at CIL Hq.

Chairman, CIL then unfurled the ‘Coal India Flag’ and felicitated former senior officials of CIL who graced the occasion.

Shri Agrawal, Functional Directors, CVO of CIL and the guest speaker former Chairman, CIL, Shri S. Narsing Rao then lit the traditional lamp. Shri. Pramod Agrawal then delivered the welcome address. Shri Agrawal said that the commitment of Coal India to the nation is inspiring and the company will grow stronger by the day. He expressed his gratitude towards the past and present Coal Indians for their immense contribution in taking the company to the new heights.

This was followed by JG Kumaramangalam lecture by the former Chairman, CIL, Shri S. Narsing Rao. In his address Shri Rao spoke in details about the factors that led coal sector grow and expected that Coal India will serve the larger cause in an equitable manner. 

A handbook named “Rishta Zindagi Bhar Ka” for retiring employees of CIL was also unveiled on the occasion.
The morning session of 48th CIL Foundation Day celebrations concluded with prize distribution to the officials for their excellence in FY 2021-22.

A vote of thanks was delivered by Shri Vinay Ranjan, Director (P&IR) - CIL. Shri Debasish Nanda, Director (Business Development) - CIL, Shri L. Chandrasekar, Chief Vigilance Officer - CIL, CMDs of CIL subsidiaries and other senior officials of CIL Hq. also graced the occasion.
