CIL's Independent directors visit country's largest SECL Gevra mine

New Delhi: Independent Directors of Coal India Limited visited SECL. Shri Dinesh Singh, Shri G. Nageshwar Rao, Shri B Rajesh Chander, Shri Poonmbhai Kalabhai Makwana, Shri Kamesh Kant Acharya, Shri Arun Kumar Oraon, and Shri Ghanshyam Singh Rathore today reached the country's largest coal mine - Gevra and took a close look at the coal mining activities.

The directors of the mine reached the coal face and saw the operation of the vertical reaper and how coal is mined without any blasting. While taking stock of OBR activities, he learned about how a 42 cubic meter shovel and a 240-tonne dumper are operated.

Before the inspection of the Gevra mine, tree plantation was done in Mango Kanan by all the independent directors.

Director (Technical cum Planning/Project) Shri SN Kapri and Director (Finance) Shri G Srinivasan and Gevra General Manager Shri SK Mohanty accompanied the independent directors from SECL on the tour.
