New Delhi: Chairman of Indian Oil corporation Shrikant M Vaidya today marks a special milestone in his journey, as he complete 35 years at IndianOil.
On this he notes his special moments and journey till now. The journey has been enriching and exciting, to say the least.
Though it is just another busy day at the office, still, I couldn't help taking a few moments to look back and ponder over the voyage so far, he wrote.
After spending a year as a dreamy-eyed Graduate Apprentice Engineer at Gujarat Refinery, I joined IndianOil's Refineries Head Office as a Process Engineer in 1987 at New Delhi.
Being a Chemical Engineer, I was pretty keen on pursuing a career in the top downstream energy company in the country as a refiner. Thus, the opportunity to work at IndianOil as a Process Engineer was a combination of Karma and Destiny for me. I was truly elated when the opportunity came along, it added.
No words can express my gratitude to my senior IOCians who mentored me during my formative years.
After 35 years, I can proudly say that IndianOil is a great company that has given wings to my dreams.
I have found it to be an excellent nurturing ground and a place where the sky is the limit for everyone who has a passion for pursuing excellence and transforming lives.
I have genuinely cherished this three and a half decades-long journey, and I feel sincerely grateful to have been blessed with the opportunity to lead the ascent of IndianOil.
