BVFCL kick starts second phase of Azadi Ka Amrit celebrations

BVFCL kick starts second phase of Azadi Ka Amrit celebrations
New Delhi: Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL) on Monday (August 15) kick-started the second phase of Azadi Ka Amrit celebrations by organizing a host of cultural activities. The celebration started with the lighting of the lamp by Shri S.P.Mohanty, Chairman & Managing Director, BVFCL along with other officials of the Corporation.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Mohanty highlighted the spirit of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” and elaborated how demographic dividend of India can be utlised to move India further. “The working-age population in India is higher than the non-working age group and this is a huge factor for economic gains”, Shri Mohanty said.
Later a host of cultural activities, such as patriotic songs, drama etc. were organized, where neighboring school kids participated. Swagatam Academy, Namrup, BVFC Higher Secondary, BVFC Model HS School, and Basundhara Jatiya Vidyalaya participated in the cultural activities.
A short drama showcasing the freedom struggle against the British, the vision of Gandhiji and highlighting the supreme sacrifice of Kanaklata Barua and Mukunda Kakati were also performed on the occasion.
