NIST University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BSNL India Limited in a virtual ceremony, marking a significant step toward empowering NISTians with advanced technologies, particularly in 4G/5G and next-generation telecom networks. This partnership will grant faculty and students access to BSNL's technology deployments and support student internships at BSNL's training facilities in Visakhapatnam.

BSNL's New Move..

BSNL will also provide equipment to establish an incubation center at NIST University, focusing on digital telephony, modern wireless networks, the Internet of Things, and robotics. This initiative aims to offer students and researchers hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies on campus.

The MoU was signed by Prof. Priyadarsan Patra, VC of NIST University, and Mr. M. Satya Prasad, DGM (EB), BSNL Visakhapatnam. Key BSNL participants included Mr. P. Paul William (PGMTD), Mr. G. Adam (PGM Operations), Mr. M. Satya Prasad (DGM Training), Mr. S. Srinivasa Rao (AGM Training), Mr. P. Mohan Rao (SDE Training), Mr. Ch. Vara Prasad (Training Coordinator), Mr. B. Srinivas (DGM Admin), Mr. K. J. Rao (DGM Operations), Mrs. N. Sreedevi (IFA), and Mr. B. Tirupati Naidu (SDE EB).  

Dr. Bishnukar Nayak, Registrar in charge, P Rajesh Kumar, Dean of Academics, Prof. Rajesh Patjoshi (HOD of ECE) and Prof. Swadhin Mishra were also present in the meeting.
