BRO to Construct World's Highest Fighter Airfield

The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) will construct the world's highest fighter airfield in the Nyoma region of Ladakh. The foundation stone of the project will be laid by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on September 12, 2023 from Devak Bridge in Jammu.
The construction of the airfield is a major boost to India's military preparedness in the Ladakh region. It will help to strengthen India's ability to defend its borders in the face of any threat from China.
