BPCL's shares ended 0.9% higher on Tuesday post the tender win announcement at Rs 291.55.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a state-run company, has announced that it was selected as the lowest bidder in NTPC's tender for the selection of solar power generators to establish 1,200 MW of ISTS-connected solar PV power projects across India. BPCL secured a capacity of 150 MW in the reverse auction.
"Upon finalization of the contract, the project will be developed over a two-year timeline with an estimated capital outlay of Rs 756.45 crore. It is projected to generate an annual revenue of approximately Rs 100 crore by producing around 400 million units of clean energy," the company stated.
"This milestone highlights BPCL's commitment to advancing renewable energy initiatives and contributing to India’s clean energy transition," the company added.
