BHEL has reached a significant milestone by exchanging the Contract Agreement with POWERGRID for the groundbreaking 6000 MW KPS2-Nagpur HVDC Project.

The Contract Exchange Ceremony for  +/-800kV, 6000 MW KPS2-Nagpur HVDC Project held at Corporate Centre, Gurugram, chaired by Shri R. K. Tyagi, CMD, POWERGRID and attended by Shri K.S. Murthy, CMD, BHEL, Shri Venu N., CMD, Hitachi Energy, and Shri Rajeev Dalela, President, KPIL.

This landmark project aims to enhance India's power transmission capacity, enabling efficient transfer of 6000 MW over a high-voltage direct current (HVDC) system, which will significantly improve grid stability, reduce transmission losses, and support the integration of renewable energy sources.
