BEML wins BH60 Rear Dump Trucks worth of Rs 247 crore

BEML Limited, a leading Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has secured a substantial order worth Rs 246.78 crore from Central Coalfields Limited (CCL). The order entails the supply of 48 state-of-the-art BH60M Rear Dump Trucks, along with spares and consumables for 1+4 years and comprehensive after-sales service support.

The BH60M Rear Dump Truck is a high-performance vehicle powered by a Cummins engine delivering 480 kW (644 FHP) at 2000 rpm, paired with an advanced Allison transmission. With a payload capacity of 54,500 kg, this truck is engineered to meet the rigorous demands of mining operations. Its ergonomically designed cabin offers operators superior comfort and control, while its Orbitrol full-time power steering and shorter turning radius ensure excellent manoeuvrability.

The BH60M Rear Dump Truck, which is mostly manufactured at BEML’s Mysuru manufacturing complex, is equipped with cutting-edge features designed to enhance safety, efficiency, and operator comfort. These include a 360-degree rear camera for comprehensive visibility and improved safety, an Automatic Fire Suppression System for emergency preparedness, and an Auto Lube System to ensure seamless maintenance. The air-conditioned cabin provides a comfortable working environment, while the Driver Fatigue Monitor System and Productivity & Health Monitoring System optimize operational efficiency and equipment health, making it a state-of-the-art solution for modern mining operations.

These features make the BH60M an ideal solution for efficient and safe overburden transportation in mining operations. The truck adheres to ISO standards and the latest safety requirements specified in DGMS circulars of October 2018 and February 2020. Once the equipment passes the final inspection, deliveries will commence promptly, maintaining the highest standards of quality and timelines.
