CSR Initiative: BEL hands over 825 vessels for food distribution to Akshaya Patra Foundation
BEL has handed over 825 vessels for food distribution to Akshaya Patra Foundation for the NGO's Bellary kitchen today as part of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.
Members of Akshaya Patra Foundation with Mr Vinay Kumar Katyal, Director (Bangalore Complex), BEL, Mr B P Pahuja, GM (ES)/BEL-Bangalore, and other officers of BEL after the handing over of food distribution vessels.
NEW DELHI- BEL has handed over 825 vessels for food distribution to Akshaya Patra Foundation for the NGO's Bellary kitchen today as part of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.
BEL has supported Akshay Patra Foundation's Mid-day Meal scheme in the past by donating food distribution vans with essential food containers for their kitchens located in Mangalgiri in Andhra Pradesh and Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh.
BEL has been a forerunner among Defence PSUs in promoting societal development. As a corporate entity, BEL actively participates in the social and economic development of communities in which it operates through CSR. BEL’s CSR activities are aimed at inclusive growth, holistic community development and empowerment of marginalised and underprivileged sections.
