BCCL highest coal dispatch of 42.5 rakes on closing of FY 21

New Delhi: BCCL recorded its highest ever coal dispatch of 42.5 rakes on the closing day of FY 20-21 on March 31, 2021. The company's dispatch in a single was 1,59,632 Tonne coal.

BCCL meets almost 50% of the total prime coking coal requirement of the integrated steel sector.


Currently, the Company operates 36 coal mines which include 11 underground, 16 opencast & 09 mixed mines as on 01.04.2020. It also runs 8 coal washeries & 4 are under construction.
