Mr. Atanu Bhowmick, Director In-Charge, RSP launched New digitalization initiatives

New Delhi: A new Software Integrated Project Management System, Billing Schedule computerization in SAP and Invoice registration in SAP for monitoring all the capital projects were launched by Mr. Atanu Bhowmick, Director In-Charge Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) in a function organized at the DIC’s conference hall ‘Manthan’ on 26th September 2022.

Mr. S R Suryawanshi, ED (Works), Mr. P K Satapathy, ED (P&A), Mr. P K Sahoo, ED (Projects), Mr. S Tripathy, ED (MM), Mr P K rath, CGM Incharge (Mines), Mr. A K Behuria, CGM In-charge (F&A) and many other CGMs and Senior Officers of the plant were present on the occasion. 

The DIC expressed happiness over the newly launched softwares and applauded the effort of the team associated with the project. Earlier, Mr. P K Sahoo, ED (Projects) deliberated on the different features of the Softwares. Mr. Dillip Kumar Sahoo, GM (Projects) and Mr. H.K.Say, GM (Projects) made brief presentations on the salient features and functioning of the new Softwares. 
            
Mr. Bhowmick also felicitated Mr. Dillip Kumar Sahoo, Mr. Hafik Kumar Say, Mr. S. Mahapatra, General Manager (F&A-Projects), Mr. Deepak Kumar Singh, Asst. General Manager (F&A-Projects), Mr. Pradeep Ku Mohapatra, Senior Manager (MM-Projects), Mr. Biswajit Mandal, Senior Manager (C&IT) and Mr. Preetam Kumar Naik, Manager (Projects) who were the key drivers in implementing the projects.

Notably, the new software has been developed by M/s Luminous Infoways Pvt. Ltd, Bhubaneswar with the help of Project-Material Management, Project-Finance and C&IT department.  
           
The Software contains features like CAPEX monitoring, Physical & Financial monitoring of Ongoing Projects with features like S-Curves, Geo-tagged, time-stamped Site photographs, Monitoring of Projects in Pipeline and Under Tendering, Web based hindrance register for access to party to raise hindrances and reply to hindrances raised by RSP, Archival of completed projects from conception to closure and Milestone Alert Facility for Project Managers to track and monitor important Milestones.

The most important feature of the software is that, it will provide single platform for data entry, documentation & monitoring all Project functions from concept to closure through a Dashboard.
      
Apart from that, Billing Schedule computerization in SAP will become easier for Monitoring & Controlling Financial status of a project. Similarly Invoice registration in SAP will help for effective CAPEX management and Tracking of various Bills.
