New Delhi: Union Minister for Road, Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari on Monday, May 22 inspected the Amritsar - Jamnagar greenfield corridor, which will be connected to the Delhi-Katra Expressway near Sultanpur Lodhi in Kapurthala district.

This will lead to facilitate the journey of Rajasthan people from the Delhi-Katra Expressway to Vaishno Devi Dham. Gadkari tweeted, “The Amritsar - Jamnagar Greenfield corridor will be connected to the Delhi-Katra Expressway near Sultanpur Lodhi in Kapurthala district.

With this, the journey of the people of Rajasthan from Delhi-Katra Expressway to Vaishno Devi Dham will be facilitated through this corridor.”

He also mentioned that A 75 km 4-lane Ludhiana-Bhatinda greenfield highway is being built at a cost of Rs 2,500 crore to connect Ludhiana with the Amritsar-Jamnagar corridor.

This route will connect major cities of Rajasthan with Ludhiana, the major city of Punjab. With the construction of this route, there will be an increase in business activities between Rajasthan and Punjab.
