AAI signed MoU to Enhance Safety and Efficiency at Airport
This will help to ensure that the safety and efficiency of air navigation services at Goa airport are maintained at the highest level.
New Delhi: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) and the Indian Navy have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance the safety and efficiency of air navigation services while augmenting the airport and runway capacity for civil flights at Goa airport.
The MoU was signed by Sh B.K. Sarkar, ED (ATFM) from AAI and Cmdr. Partha U. Bhatt, IHQ, Ministry of Defence in the presence of Sh. M. Suresh, Member (ANS), AAI and other senior officials from AAI.Under the MoU, the Indian Navy will provide surface movement service (SMS) at Goa airport. SMS is a set of services that guide aircraft on the ground, from the time they arrive at the airport until they depart.

This will help to ensure that the safety and efficiency of air navigation services at Goa airport are maintained at the highest level.
