The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has constructed a Cooling Pit at the Bhavnagar airport in line with its commitment to ensuring air passengers' safety under all circumstances.

NEW DELHI- The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has constructed a Cooling Pit at the Bhavnagar airport in line with its commitment to ensuring air passengers' safety under all circumstances. The Cooling Pit is one of the salient security infrastructures at any airport, where any substance suspected to contain explosives is kept for 24 hours.

This makes it one of the most vital infrastructures for the airport’s security. The newly constructed Cooling Pit underwent a commissioning-level security vetting at the airport under the guidance of the Regional Director of Ahmedabad Region of the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security.

This security infrastructure will enhance the safety and security measures at Bhavnagar airport and improve the overall travel experience for passengers.
