Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri reviewed progress of Rajasthan Refinery Project
On his visit, he was apprised with the progress made so far and efforts being made for expeditious completion of the project.
New Delhi: Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs & Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas reviewed the progress of the Rajasthan Refinery Project with senior officers of HPCL, HRRL, and Engineers India Limited.
On his visit, he was apprised with the progress made so far and efforts being made for expeditious completion of the project. The 9 MMTPA Rajasthan Refinery Complex will have the highest petrochemical intensity in the country and will open up new opportunities for downstream units, ancillaries, and support infrastructure while creating opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship.
HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Ltd. (HRRL) was incorporated on 18th September 2013, as a Joint Venture between Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and the Government of Rajasthan (GOR) with equity participation of 74% and 26% respectively.
The project involves the setting up of a Greenfield 9 MMTPA refinery cum petrochemical complex at Pachpadra in the Barmer district of Rajasthan.
