Hon'ble PM of Nepal assured his support to NHPC for development projects
While interacting with Prime Minister he expressed his happiness with CMD, NHPC, and further assured his support to NHPC for hydropower development in Nepal.
CMD, NHPC meets Prime Minister of Nepal Shri Sher Bahadur Deuba
New Delhi: Chairman and Managing Director of National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited Shri A.K. Singh along with Executive Director (Business Development) Shri V.K. Maini on Friday, November 19, had a meeting with the Hon'ble Prime Minister of Nepal Shri Sher Bahadur Deuba.
While interacting with Prime Minister he expressed his happiness with CMD, NHPC, and further assured his support to NHPC for hydropower development in Nepal.
The biggest hydropower utility of India mentioned, "NHPC's initiative was greatly appreciated and welcomed by the Hon'ble Prime Minister. The meeting was a significant step for NHPC under the dynamic leadership of CMD, NHPC into making a footprint in Nepal."
NHPC Limited is the largest organization for hydropower development in India, diversified in the field of Solar & Windpower.
NHPC Limited presently has an installation base of 7071.2 MW from 24 power stations including 2 nos projects in JV mode. Presently NHPC engaged in the construction of 9 projects aggregating to a total installed capacity of 5999 MW. During the Year 2020-21, NHPC had an Income from the sale of Power of Rs. 8094 Crore with a Net Profit of Rs. 3233 Crore.
