OIL Executive Secures Prestigious Scholarship
New Delhi: Mr. Krishan G Insan (Manager - Finance), Oil India Limited has been selected for the Prestigious Chevening Scholarship offered by Foreign and Commonwealth Office, London UK. The final list of candidates of this award is made after a rigorous selection procedure followed uniformly across 160+ countries in the world. The selection in scholarship allows the candidate to pursue One Year Master Degree Course in any listed University of their choice in the UK. The objective of the scholarship to support the young talented people who have leadership potential and are identified as future leaders. Many notable global leaders have started their journey with Chevening Award in their time.
In the Indian context, Mr Amitabh Kant CEO, NITI Aayog is also a Chevening Alumni and every year many senior civil servants are selected for the awards. Mr. Insan is a First Chevening Scholar getting selected from this Navratna PSU. In his previous posting he has worked in Oil and Gas regulatory body Directorate General of Hydrocarbons. Mr. Insan is a Law Graduate from Faculty of Law, University of Delhi and a Management Graduate in Finance with Distinction.
During next one year he shall be studying Comparative and International Dispute Resolution from Queen Mary University of London. While pursuing this course on Study Leave from OIL whole expenditure of his study will be borne by Chevening Scholarship. IPS Merin Joseph, IPS N Rajarathinam, IRS Satyender Kumar (2001) are among others to get selected for this prestigious scholarship in latest edition.
