International Workers Day Celebrated at NALCO
Bhubaneswar: ‘NALCO is poised to notch up its highest ever profit in a decade and is all set to break records on the production and productivity fronts, when the Company announces its annual results for 2018-19. This has been possible only because of the efficiency and dedication of the work force including our contract workers and the level of trust & cooperation between the management and the trade & labour unions. In NALCO, we believe that, everyone – from top to bottom, is a ‘Shramik’ with a common objective of doing well for the Company,' said Dr. Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD, NALCO while addressing the May Day celebrations organized by Nalco Employees Forum (NEF), the recognized union, and Nalco Employees Central Union (NECU), at separate functions yesterday at Bhubaneswar.
Associations, President, General Secretary & office bearers, and Union members of Nalco Employees Forum, the recognized Union and Nalco Employees Central Union, were notably present on the occasion. Dr. T.K.Chand was felicitated by Shri Madan Mohan Dhal, President and Shri P.K.Das, General Secretary of the recognized union for his exemplary contribution to the organization and for giving a very sound leadership, which has taken NALCO to great heights of success and glory. To mark the occasion, souvenirs – Shram Sarathi and Shramika Barta were also released.
