ITDC Sets Stage for Son Et Lumiere to Felicitate 18 National Bravehearts at Purana Qila

New Delhi: The extraordinary 18 Children hailing from different parts of the country, who are soon to become National Bravery Awardees were invited and welcomed to a mesmerizing Sound and Light show run by India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) Ltd at Purana Qila, New Delhi. The Children will receive the National Bravery awards, for their outstanding acts of courage and tact, by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Republic Day. ITDC presented brave-hearts the incredible 1000 years journey of rise and fall, shaping of the capital city ‘Delhi’ through a spell bounding Sound & Light show ‘Ishq-e-Dilli’.
 
Addressing the brave-hearts at Purana Qila, Shri Piyush Tiwari, Director (Commercial & Marketing) ITDC and the host for the evening said, “I am overwhelmed with the pride as I witness the youth of India who have personified themselves as epitomes of courage and Valor. The young souls have showcased the humanity by valuing others life and fighting their fears to protect others, while some brave-hearts sacrificed their life to save others. They are the true inspiration to live with heroism and compassion. It indeed is an honor for ITDC family to host, meet and interact with these real-life heroes and brave souls at the Son Et Lumiere (Show)”.
 
The co-host for the evening, Mr. R N Kumar, General Manager, Sound and Light Show Division, ITDC said, “The Sound and Light show at the Purana Quila is a major attraction for visitors to Delhi. As the winners come from different parts of the country, we thought it would be interesting for these kids and their escorts to experience the dramatic recreation of a vast period of time in Delhi’s exciting history. With cutting-edge projection and laser technology complemented by a powerful narration, it is India’s first permanent projection multimedia art installation and we are delighted to host the brave-hearts to this special spectacular show”.
 
This year, the Indian Council for child Welfare has selected 18 children for National Bravery Awards. Out of 18, three of the awards are posthumous. These children hailing from different geographical regions will receive the award from Prime Minister on Republic Day and will also be a part of the Republic Day Parade.
