IREDA Pays Dividend to Government of India for FY 2017-18
New Delhi: Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) paid a total dividend of Rs. 126.84 crore for the Financial Year 2017-18 to Government of India. A cheque of Rs.21.84 crore as final dividend was presented by Shri K S Popli, CMD, IREDA to Shri R K Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power and New & Renewable Energy in the presence of Secretary, MNRE Shri Anand Kumar and CMD, REC Dr. P V Ramesh and senior officials from MNRE & IREDA on 26th September at MNRE, New Delhi.
During the financial year 2017-18, IREDA achieved highest Loan sanctions of Rs. 12130 crores for RE Projects, an increase of 19% over Rs. 10199 crores of 2016-17 and disbursed Rs. 8328 crores an increase of 26% over Rs. 6593 crores disbursed during 2016-17.
