IRCTC Signed an Agreement with NSG for Provisioning of E-ticketing facility to NSG force Personnel

New Delhi: National Security Guard entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation for provisioning of E-ticketing facility to NSG force personnel. MOU was signed by Shri M.P. Mall, CMD, IRCTC and Shri Sudeep Lakhtakia, Director General of NSG at NSG headquarters office Delhi on 4th July 2018.

This facility will eliminate the need of using Railway Warrants by NSG officers travelling on duty. Purchasing tickets through Railway Warrant system is a cumbersome and lengthy process as it requires NSG staff to go to Railway Reservation Counter to exchange Railway Warrant for reserve tickets.

Under the MOU, IRCTC will be extending the ticketing facility to NSG headquarter office which later on may be extended to field units also. IRCTC will be extending this scheme through the advance deposit to facilitate hassle-free service from payments at the time online ticket booking. NSG is the first Central Paramilitary Force to opt for e-ticketing in lieu of Railway Warrants.

IRCTC is also developing an e-ticketing cum Warrant Management System for Central Reserve Paramilitary Force (CRPF) which shall be live soon.
