Highest Collection of Blood units during Donation Camp Organized by SJVN

Shimla: SJVN Limited, organized a Blood Donation Camp at Corporate Headquarters, Shimla in association with  Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) Blood Bank, Shimla. The Camp was jointly inaugurated by Head of Departments of Corporate Headquarter, Shimla Shri S.P Pathak, CGM (Electrical Design), Shri D. P. Kaushal, CGM (HR), Shri V Sankaranarayanan, CGM (CM&C) and Shri D. Dash, CGM (IA). 
 
Shri Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN mentioned that besides meeting the organizational challenges, relating to Power Generation, SJVN has always been on the forefront for its obligations to society at large.
 
As per past precedent, SJVN has been adopting various welfare measures and in continuation to the above, under the leadership of Shri N. L. Sharma, CMD, 126 units of Blood were donated by the employees, their family members, Satluj Shri Ladies Club, Shimla and contractual workers, who overwhelmingly volunteered to the noble cause of Blood Donation. Accordingly, this is the highest number of blood units collected by SJVN, Shimla till date.
 
Shri  D. P Kaushal, CGM (HR) appreciated the enthusiasm of the blood donors and thanked them for their valuable contribut­ion to the society for this noble cause. Among the donors were many who regularly donate blood and Shri Saurabh Raj Sood donated blood for 73rd time. As recognition of the noble efforts by the donors and as a gesture of appreciation, mementoes were also presented by Shri D. P. Kaushal, CGM (HR) and  Shri Shallinder Singh, Sr. AGM (HR). 
 
Dr. M. L Kaushal, Dr Veena Gupta and their team from Blood Bank, Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla with the help of the volunteers from SJVN, conducted the camp.
