DVC to Supply Power to Bangladesh
Kolkata: Damodar Valley Corporation, inked two agreements for supply of 300 MW electricity each to Bangladesh, at its Head Office on 6th Sep 2018. Supply under the Power Purchase Agreements concluded with NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Ltd (NVVNL) will entail supply of 300 MW to Bangladesh, from 400 KV Berhampur substation at Murshidabad, West Bengal in the short term till December 2019, while the long-term agreement will follow from January 2020 to May 2033.
Earlier in an international competitive bidding of Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDV), NVVNL, a power trading PSU participated as a trading agent on behalf of DVC and secured this contract.
