Air India Express along with Mathrubhumi is providing an end-to-end waste management solution
New Delhi: We are happy to share the pictures of Edakkad, a small village in Kozhikode, Kerala, where Air India Express along with Mathrubhumi is providing an end-to-end waste management solution. Here, nothing goes waste. Bio waste is converted to manure, which paved the way for massive cultivation of ornamental plants and vegetables. About 50, 000 kg of plastics have already been recycled and the project continues to win awards and accolades from experts.
Under this project, children of the village decorated the public walls with graffiti. The women are being trained to stitch eco-friendly jute bags.
