44th AGM of SCOPE Held
New Delhi: The 44th Annual General Meeting of the Governing Council of SCOPE was held on 27th March 2018 evening. Mr. Ved Prakash, Chairman, SCOPE & CMD, MMTC and Dr. U.D. Choubey, Director General, SCOPE addressed the Governing Council Members. Large many representatives of PSEs were present on the occasion.
Mr. Ved Prakash, Chairman, SCOPE highlighted various programs conducted by SCOPE like, Digitization, Women Empowerment, GST, RTI, Meeting with SEBI Chairman, issues of Risk Management, Corporate Governance etc.
Dr. U.D. Choubey, Director General, SCOPE gave details of the account of various activities and initiatives of SCOPE. Dr. Choubey said the occasion is more satisfying because of the larger investment of Government of India in PSEs which is around Rs. 12.5 lakh crore as compared to little over Rs. 11 lakh crore. He said that PSEs have larger challenge to keep pace with fast moving economy. DG, SCOPE added that better Corporate Governance, Transparency, Trust, Skill Development is the need of the hour.
