Shatmanyu Shrivastava appointed as chief risk officer of LIC
Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) appoints Shatmanyu Shrivastava as Chief Risk Officer, effective March 19, 2025, as announced in its exchange filing.

New Delhi: Mumbai-headquartered Indian multinational public sector life insurance company, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) appointed Shatmanyu Shrivastava as its Chief Risk Officer (CRO) effective March 19, 2025, the company announced on Monday in its exchange filing.
Shrivastava began working for LIC in 1990 as a direct recruiting officer for the 18th batch. He has worked in all four levels of LIC's organisational structure—branch offices, divisional offices, zonal offices, and central office—during his more than thirty-year career.

In May 2022, he joined the central office as head (F&A) and was in charge of the first account closure after the IPO. He is knowledgeable about specific compliance requirements under Irdai guidelines and Sebi (LODR) regulations.
In addition to being a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and the Insurance Institute of India, he was qualified in 2000. He passed seven of the actuarial tests administered by the Institute of Actuaries of India after studying actuarial science.
