Shri A.K. Sehgal, HOP, NTPC Talcher Kaniha elevated to the post of Executive Director
Shri Ashok Kumar Sehgal, the Head of Project of NTPC Talcher Kaniha, has been elevated to the position of Executive Director with effect from 3rd March 2025.
New Delhi: In a significant move, Shri Ashok Kumar Sehgal, the Head of Project of NTPC Talcher Kaniha, has been elevated to the position of Executive Director with effect from 3rd March 2025.
Shri A.K. Sehgal, who has been serving as the Head of Project at NTPC Talcher Kaniha since January 1, 2024, will now take on the new role of Executive Director, where he will continue to render his expertise to the company's growth and future avenues.

A Mechanical Engineer by profession, Shri Sehgal joined NTPC in 1989 as an Executive Trainee at NSPCL Durgapur. Thereafter he had worked at NTPC Dadri, Corporate OS Department at EOC Noida, NTPC Mouda, NTPC Vindhyanchal in various capacities in the areas of Commissioning, Operations, Mechanical Maintenance, Maintenance Planning, Ash Dyke Management before joining NTPC Kaniha in August 2022 as General Manager (Maintenance). He became General Manager (O & M) at NTPC Kaniha in November 2022.Shri Sehgal holds an M Tech degree in Power Engineering from IIT Delhi, besides P G Diploma in Finance from IGNOU. He has vast experience in the areas of Operation and Maintenance and Construction of Power Plant.
Shri Sehgal has undergone extensive training in Power Plant Management in reputed institutes of the country and abroad, including the prestigious Power Management Institute, Noida as well as Advanced Management at Silicon Valley, USA.
Shri Sehgal is well known for his employee friendly approach and empathy for agency workers. He has been instrumental in bring many laurels and awards for NTPC Kaniha. Under his stewardship, NTPC Kaniha has carried out many community development works, bringing all round development for the neighbouring society.
