Kiran Easankarala has assumed charge as Director (Finance & Commercial) of Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) with effect from March 14 at Visakhapatnam. Before joining HSL, he was serving as the Chief Financial Officer of Dredging Corporation of India Limited from March 2024.
Mr. Easankarala is a finance practitioner who earned his chartered accountancy degree in 1997. In 1998, he began working for Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), where he acquired a wealth of knowledge in the areas of internal audit, project finance, corporate accounting, treasury, and budgeting.

He was helpful in financial planning for important projects and played a significant part in RINL's Initial Public Offering (IPO). At RINMOIL Ferro Alloys Ltd., a joint venture between RINL and MOIL, he also served as its first Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
He will be in charge of managing commercial operations and strategic financial planning in his new position at HSL, ensuring that the organization's financial plans are in line with its long-term goals.
