FSSAI CEO held meeting with West African Health Organization

New Delhi: On 30th January 2025, Shri G. Kamala Vardhana Rao, CEO, FSSAI held a meeting with the West African Health Organization (WAHO) delegation led by Dr Melchior Athanase Aïssi, Director General, WAHO, comprising representatives from various West African countries such as Burkina Faso, Senegal, Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Benin, Madagascar including Sri Lanka and Germany.

The meeting centred on facilitating the exchange of knowledge related to food safety, with a particular emphasis on the fortification of rice and its effective implementation.
