He is Graduate in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jamshedpur.

He joined ECIL in the year 2015 as General Manager (Homeland Security Systems). Subsequently, in 2020 he was promoted as Executive Director and handled R&D in addition to Homeland Security. He was instrumental in execution of several Integrated Security System projects including Delhi Police and Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS). He steered indigenous development of Explosive Detectors, Dual view X-Ray Baggage system and RF Seeker for missile programme. He conceptualised setting up of facility for development of CBRN Detectors aimed at providing CBRN protection solutions for strategic sites.

Prior to joining ECIL, Shri Anurag Kumar worked in Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) and Reliance Industries Limited.

Shri Anurag Kumar has a very rich Professional experience of over three decades in the field of Strategic Electronics, Telecom, Homeland Security Solutions, Steel Sector and Renewable Energy. During his tenure at ECIL in various senior Management positions, has made major contributions towards sustained business growth of the corporation.
