Two state-run CPSE, MECL and NLCIL Signs MoU
This renewed collaboration is a significant leap toward enhancing India’s energy security and unlocking new economic opportunities in the lignite sector.
Two state-run CPSE, MECL and NLC India Ltd have renewed their strategic collaboration by signing an MoU on 7th April 2025 to undertake exploration and geological work for the development of lignite blocks across India.
The MoU was signed by Shri Pankaj Pandey, Director (Technical), MECL, and Mr. Jasper Rose I.S., Executive Director (Mines & Land), NLCIL. The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Shri Indra Dev Narayan, CMD MECL; Dr. Suresh Chandra Suman, Director (Mines) & Director (Planning & Projects – Addl. Charge), NLCIL; and Shri Surendra Singh Kshatriya, Director (Finance), MECL, Shri R. Kartik, HoD (BD) MECL along with senior officials from both organizations.
