NLCIL subsidiary signed MoU with MAHAPREIT to develop Renewable Energy Projects
NLCIL is on track to build a 10 GW renewable energy capacity by 2030, with NIRL leading the charge.

On 16th April 2025, NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL), a subsidiary of NLC India Limited (NLCIL), signed an MoU with Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Ltd. (MAHAPREIT), a subsidiary of MPBCDC, to develop Renewable Energy Parks/Projects in Maharashtra. The joint venture will focus on Solar, Wind, Hybrid, Energy Storage, and Green Hydrogen projects.
The MoU was signed by Shri Devendra Pratap Singh, CEO of NIRL, and Shri Deepak Kokate, CGM of MAHAPREIT, in Mumbai, with Dr. Prasanna Kumar Acharya, Director (Finance) of NLCIL, and Shri Bipin Shrimali, IAS, MD of MAHAPREIT, present.
