These stations will be established in important cities like Panjim, Mapusa, Margao, and Vasco, according to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. IOCL will be in charge of installing and maintaining advanced battery swapping stations and EV charging stations under the initiative.

Furthermore, the business will supply the state with free basic facilities like restrooms, locker rooms, and gas stations.

The state government will pay half of the costs associated with installing electrical connections for these stations, which will lessen the financial strain on IOCL and further encourage the setup. In order to promote green energy and lessen the state's carbon footprint, CM Sawant underlined the significance of this initiative.

By promoting the use of electric vehicles, this partnership seeks to make Goa a more environmentally responsible and sustainable travel destination. It is anticipated that the project will enhance EV infrastructure, guaranteeing users greater accessibility and convenience while also advancing the more general objective of lowering dependency on fossil fuels.
