DFCCIL signs MoU with IIT-Roorkee for rail technology development
DFCCIL has announced the partnership with IIT – Roorkee by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Amid Pioneering Cutting Edge Technology in the Rail Maintenance under the leadership of Managing Director Shri Praveen Kumar, DFCCIL has announced the partnership with IIT – Roorkee by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the development of Broken Rail Detection System to bolster safety and maintain the health of freight trains through early detection of rail cracks & prevent rail fractures.
This DFCCIL-funded initiative will develop a pioneering system for the detection of rail/weld fractures with the help of thermal cameras and monitor the propagation of cracks inside the rail.
