World's Largest Airport Coming; 5 times bigger than Dubai International Airport
Dubai Commences Construction on ‘World’s Largest’ Airport Terminal. The airport will accommodate 400 aircraft gates and feature five parallel runways.
Dubai: Dubai has officially embarked on the ambitious project of constructing what is set to be the world’s largest airport terminal. It is said that the new terminal will be constructed at AI Maktoum International Airport.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum the current ruler of Dubai said on X, "We approved the designs for the new passenger terminals at Al Maktoum International Airport, and commencing construction of the building at a cost of AED 128 billion as part of Dubai Aviation Corporation's strategy.

It is worth mentioning that this will be the five times the size of the current Dubai International Airport. All operations at Dubai International Airport will be transferred to it in the coming years.
The airport will accommodate 400 aircraft gates and feature five parallel runways. New aviation technologies will be employed for the first time in the aviation sector.
