This 1,350 km long, 8-lane wide (expandable to 12-lane) expressway is under construction access-controlled expressway connecting India's national capital New Delhi with Mumbai.

This Expressway will connect Sohna Elevated Corridor

-Delhi to Jawaharlal Nehru Port in Maharashtra via Dausa, Kota, Ratlam, Vadodara and Surat.

-It passes through the Union territory of Delhi and the states of Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra.

The main length of the expressway is from Sohna to Virar only i.e. 1,198 km.

This project's total cost is around Rs 1,00,000 crores. An additional 31 km long spur will also be constructed by the NHAI from Noida International Airport in Jewar to Sector-65, Faridabad on this expressway (DND–KMP Expressway).

This will reduce the current 24-hour travel time to 12 hours.

2. Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway:

Nagpur-Mumbai Expressway (officially known as Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg) and Maharashtra Expressway-2 (ME-2), is a partially opened 6-lane wide 701-km long access-controlled expressway.

It is one of the country's longest greenfield road projects connecting two capital cities of the state. The expressway will travel through 10 key districts directly and 14 districts indirectly.

The first phase from Nagpur to Shirdi was inaugurated and opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 11 December 2022, while the second phase until Mumbai will be opened in December 2023.

The entire project, costing Rs 7,500 crore was planned in 2006, the contract was awarded in 2011. One of the causes of the delay was due to NHAI's need for the land from DDA to transplant 13,000 trees from the route alignment, which in November 2018 Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal agreed to provide after several years of inexplicable delays.

This expressway is likely to open next year in April.

Uttar Pradesh Cabinet gives Rs 36,230 crore clearance to build the expressway.
