The company has more than 240 MW of installed solar capacity across the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors in the state. A major driver behind this expansion is Tata Power’s 4.3 GW Solar Cell and Module Manufacturing Facility in Tirunelveli, which is enhancing domestic production of solar cells and modules, reducing reliance on imports, and advancing India’s renewable energy goals.
“The launch of the #GharGharSolar initiative in Tamil Nadu marks a significant step toward making clean energy affordable and accessible to households,” said Praveer Sinha. “Our goal is to empower homes across the state to reduce their electricity bills by adopting rooftop solar solutions, while also supporting the government’s renewable energy policies.”
